The Hever triathlon day was split into two parts. The morning session comprised of an archery lesson, a castle tour, a classroom session (where the children coloured a shield) and a treasure hunt around the castle grounds.
After lunch they completed a run of about a mile through the woods and some caves! They then did a swim in the lake. The instructors gave them lots of techniques to use in open water swimming and changing direction. They were then taught about the transition part of a triathlon. This is where they come out of the water and prepare to cycle and also when they finish the bike ride and prepare to run. Finally they practised with the bikes, this included running with the bikes and the actual cycling part.
