ACTIVITY: Today I want you to think about the books we have read so far this term. We have done Kensuke’s Kingdom, Mr Stink and A Place For Plastic. I would like you to choose one and write a book review following the steps that are in my tutorial and the questions in the picture.

No tutorials today guys! From your work on Wednesday and Thursday I can see we need a bit of revision and practise of division.

Year 3:

2 things to go over – grouping and sharing. Watch the lesson and then have a go at the activity at the bottom (you do not need to download and complete the worksheets unless you want to, you can just have a go at the interactive activities at the bottom).

Year 4:

2 things to have a go at today. First remind yourself of the different strategies we can use to divide 2 digits by 1 digit (using strategies rather than in your head). Then have a go at dividing when numbers do not divide equally. Activity: Record your video of your story that you have written. Send them to me and I will save them ready for sharing after half term.

Green chillies: Make sure you try to use eye contact at times during your reading of the story to keep your listener engaged. Try to sit or stand up straight when you are talking. Try to use your voice to maintain the interest of the listener and add to the experience of your story.

Orange chillies: Make sure you use appropriate eye contact. Even though it is a video, your audience will want to see you engaging with them. You need to stand or sit up straight and face the audience when you’re talking. You need to make sure you maintain the interest of the audience using intonation.

Red chillies: Make sure you use effective and appropriate eye contact when you are delivering your story. Stand tall or sit straight with an open posture. Try to face the audience with your head held high with your hands and feet positioned appropriately and comfortably. If you feel comfortable you will tell your story more confidently. Try to include appropriate gestures and intonation when your are retelling
