Four Elms Primary School

Let's Celebrate

Bobby is my worker of the week this week! Bobby knows that handwriting is something he finds really hard and he has really challenged himself to improve his handwriting and be the best he can be. Look at how amazing his writing looks!

In English we have been looking at Ug the Boy Genius of the Stone Age. We have thought carefully about the clues from the pictures and the differences between graphic novels and normal stories. We have been detectives, working out what the characters are like from the pictures and the words we have.

Then we predicted what the characters could be saying to each other based on what we had read so far.

This week in Maths we have been learning about mass. We started by ordering objects based on how heavy and light they are.

Then we practised using real scales.

Once we had done this, we started converting measures from grams to kilograms and back again.

Finally we used a place value chart to convert decimals into whole numbers so that we could add and subtract mass.

Afternoon challenges!
