A Stones Throw Away

In this experience class 3 will be looking at the changes that occurred from the Stone Age, through the Bronze Age and into the Iron Age. They will be having a debate to choose the most important change the occurred focusing on the key question:

'In your opinion, what was the most important change from the Stone Age to the Iron Age? Why?'

In English, we focused on persuasive writing techniques and emotive language to help us create well-structured debates that would convince others of our point of view.

In History, we found out about the tools and weapons they used in the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We also found out about the food they hunted for, farmed and made. As well as, the houses that they built and lived in.

We were lucky enough to get to see some Stone Age tools that Florence R brought in for our hook! We also got to watch clips from Horrible Histories for our hook.

We had our debate in the Central Area, we split into three groups based on what we thought were the most important changes. The groups were; houses, food and tools/weapons. We shared our debate with Class 4, and they agreed that tools and weapons were the most important change that occurred during the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
