Four Elms Primary School

Cross Country Competition

Our little school more than held its own against the big guns at the Junior Kent Cross Country Championships yesterday. There were exceptional performances by Nathan, Kitty, Mia, Isla, Eloise and Heidi M, but everyone held their nerve and ran really well despite the overwhelming scale of the event (91 schools, 1015 kids!).

To put Mia and Isla’s score (6th and 8th) into some context - runners who come in the top 10 in Y5 and Y6 races are then invited to compete at a national level.

Here is a quick summary of their results:

Y3 Boys: Nathan 38, George 80, Jackson 102, Duncan 147 (166 runners)
Y3 Girls: Kitty 16, Tabatha 92 (124 runners)
Y4 Boys: Ollie 121 (170 runners)
Y4 Girls: Mia 6, Isla 8, Eloise 33, Grace 54, Heidi G 95 (164 runners)
Y5 Boys: no runners
Y5 Girls: Evie 54, Lola 70 (120 runners)
Y6 Boys: Liam 57, Rowan 69 (156 runners)
Y6 Girls: Heidi M 24 (115 runners)
