Play leaders

Our Year Five children are play leaders and run lunchtime clubs for Key Stage One. We are currently recruiting for new play leaders so watch this space for more information about that clubs that will be on offer soon...

Music

Class music is taught throughout the school following the Kent music scheme- Charanga. Once a week children have a singing assembly.

In class 3 and 4, the school uses Soundhub funding to allow for all children to learn ukulele with Miss Beevis.

At Christmas, our carol singers regularly sing for the local community. We also show off our children's many talents at music assemblies and in special performances . In Key Stage 1 (classes 1 and 2) the children prepare and perform a nativity play at Christmas time. The Key stage 2 children (classes 3 and 4) join with the children at a Christingle carol service. The whole school joins with the community on Remembrance day at St. Paul's Church to remember those who have given their lives for us. In the summer term, the school band and individual musicians organise their own assembly, performing pieces that they have learnt and enjoyed over the last year.

If your child is interested in music, they are welcome to join the Four Elms school band which takes place during lunchtime during the Summer Term. All children are welcome. We will always find a special part for you! There will be regular opportunities for you to see the school band in action!

We also have a glee club!

Miss Beevis also provides individual music tuition for the guitar, piano or singing. If you are interested in this please contact the school office for further information.
