We are starting our new year with a whole Federation experience. Please see the rationale below for more details. 

Here are a few photos from our hook day. The staff suprised the children by dressing up as characters from Alice in Wonderland. We then made potions and played croquet and some playing card related games! 

 

 

 

For our experience we created collages of all the characters and objects in the chapter. We worked hard on developing our collage skills. You can see we considered which materials to use and we worked hard on tearing and cutting paper. We worked on accuracy as we knew that the collage needed to be within the lines of the silhouettes. 

Alongside this we also worked hard on our capital letters and full stops. We re-wrote some of the chapter making sure our punctuation was accurate. 

In order to develop our effective communication, we worked hard on speaking clearly.

We focused on the chapter where Alice goes inside the White Rabbit's house. Listen to us retelling the chapter:
