Guided Reading

If you are a Lexia person you must complete Lexia during this time instead of guided reading.

LO: To learn poetry by heart.

SC1: I can read an unfamiliar text

SC2: I can read aloud to myself and others

SC3: I can perform a poem without looking at the words

Below, is an extract for Goldilocks. All I would like you to do is practise reading the poem aloud, and then perform it to someone at home. How much of the poem can you recite without looking at the text? Can you learn the whole passage for three happy marks? I will need proof before they are awarded! Good luck.

9:50-10:30

Challenge

LO: To play a game from the past

SC1) I can follow my set of rules

SC2) I can play my game and enjoy spending time with my family

SC3) I can evaluate my game

Today we would like you to play the game with the rules you made up. Take this time to spend some quality time with other members of your family. After you have played the game, we need to reflect and think about how we have done with making a game. Use the following questions to help your learning.

What went well?

What could be improved?

What part of the game did other people enjoy the most?

Would you play it again? Why / why not?
