Challenge To use effective communication to deliver a speech
Watch the following video of children giving motivational speeches. What is it that makes their speeches sound inspiring? Write down some key points about the way they are talking.
I noticed that the children did the following when speaking:
Now practise your speech. Record it once and then watch it back. Look at the success criteria. Did you do those things whilst delivering your speech? How could you improve your speech?
Record the speech again! Send it to your teacher for us to put onto our website so that we can inspire others. It would be great if you could think of ways that you could share your speech with even more people. |

Music Mrs Hunt (our music leader) has uploaded music videos to our website (curriculum – music). Every Friday afternoon we would like the children to practise the songs. Mrs Hunt will be uploading new ones every now and then. The idea is that when we get back to school, we can have a celebratory singing concert. If your child would like to record themselves singing, please email clips to Mrs Chloe Hunt at: chunt@four-elms.kent.sch.uk. The clips will then be collated into a video.
