English-  Writing your diary entry (handwritten or on the computer, you choose!)

So over the course of last week and this week you have worked on the skills you need to be able to write your diary entry. Now you need to actually do it. If you are able to, print off the success criteria we created together last week as a guide for yourself. (if you can stick it in then great, if not don’t worry. Then at the end of your writing you can go through your work and identify where you have achieved those things. It might be nice to choose a colour pencil for each success criteria, underline that criteria in that colour almost like a colour code. That way you can see clearly what you have/have not done. If you find you have missed something, can you go back and add it in?

Just like in class, you should be trying to find where you have been successful and independently find ways in which to improve. If an adult in the house has time to go through it with you, maybe ask them to help you identify the SC as this can be tricky in your own work. Can they give you some feedback on what skills you have used well and what you might need to work on next time we do diary writing? Remember that reflection is a key skill in our learning because it helps us to see where we need to take our learning next.

Maths- Telling the time

Go on to MyMaths and complete the time lesson set. Unlike when you do your homework which is to go over what we have learned in class, you will need to do the lesson before you do the homework task. This will help you understand how to answer the questions when you complete the home-learning task.

Experience – Challenge

Yesterday you thought about what you would like to become an expert in. Now you need to choose one. Remember, because of what is happening in the world at the moment there might be restrictions about what you are able to do. Look at your mind map sensibly. Which thing can you put your effort in to and actually become an expert at.

Now you need to write down what this is and explain why you have chosen this. Is it something you have wanted to do for a long time and now you have the opportunity? Is it something that you think will help you in the future? Is it something you have tried before and would like to try again because you think you have the time?

Give a good justification/explanation as to why you have chosen it. Remember, we look beautifully presented work so feel free to decorate your work.

2:00- 2:30

Exercise – e.g. mindfulness yoga skipping, bouncy ball catch, fresh air in the garden

2:30-2.50

Experience (contained) -

Now that you have decided which thing it is that you would like to become an expert at, you need to think about what you need to do in order to be able to do this.

What do you need?

How much time do you need?

Do you need to learning any specific skills?

Do you need to ask anyone to help you?

What research might you need to so?

Are there any resources you will need to help you?

Present this in your book. Remember, we want to keep these and look back at them in the future so presentation is key. Have a look at mine on the webpage and I know that your ideas on how to present things are so much better! I can’t wait to see what you do! J

REMEMBER – mine is just an idea, you present your learning journey in the best way for you as long as you take your time and make it the best you possibly can. Feel free to look at the other class pages to see what they have done too.
