Our Local Area

Class Two were finding out about the study of features in our local area. They learnt about what is natural and manmade. 

We have investigated our local area by walking around Four Elms making a note of the features we could see.  This knowledge enabled them to understand what a location is and the features of a map, including North, East, South, West. Whilst on the walk they learnt how to use directional language. From this they learnt how to apply the correct use of direction to give directions to others. 

They recognised features in our local area, identified, and justified why something was natural or manmade.
