PE
PE is going to be a bit different this week as we have been inspired by Ethan in Class 2. If you want to carry on choosing your own way to keep active in the morning, that is fine, but we hope you are as inspired as we are.
Over the Easter holidays Ethan read about Captain Tom Moore; who wanted to walk 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday, in order to raise money for the NHS.

Well Ethan was so inspired that he wanted to do something to help, and so do we! We challenge you to do your own 100 laps, this could be your front room, garden or even an outdoor space (where you are able to keep to social distance guidelines) . It could take you a day, week or even months. But see if someone will donate to the NHS by challenging you to get moving.
I am personally going to be running laps around my local playing field which has a perimeter of 2 miles! So wish me luck! I will keep you updated with my progress.

SPAG
This week we are looking at Suffixes. A suffix is a group of letters placed at the end of a word. The suffix changes the meaning of the word. But be warned some suffixes can change the spelling of the word!
– If the root word ends in a Y you normally change the Y to an I
– If the root word ends in a E and the first letter of the suffix is an vowel (a,e,i,o,u) you get rid of the E.
- Could you please complete the table below in your workbooks- adding your own example for each suffix.
- Have a go at the spelling test I have set on spellodrome, all about suffixes.
- Then, I have added a game about suffixes for you on wordwall. 1st place gets 5 raffle tickets, 2nd place gets 3, 3rd place gets 1.

Art
I am so impressed with the drafts for your story front covers! Every single one of you has improved since we have started our art experience and I am a very, very, very proud teacher. Today is your first day to start on those final covers- take your time. Improve all those things you were not happy with in your draft. They need to be colourful with bold outlines and clearly showing what your story is about. Don't rush it, make this the best piece of art work you have ever done! I will give you some time tomorrow to finish it.
