Mental Arithmetic

Over the Easter holidays, Will created a game on ‘scratch’. It’s awesome! It will help you to practise your times tables. Follow this link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/383116302 Year 1, although we haven’t been focusing on times tables, give the game a go. Remember, if it says 3 x 2 we can just count in 2’s three times. 2, 4, 6

Handwriting and spelling

Choose 5 spellings from your high frequency word mat. Practise writing these in your neatest writing.

10.15-10.30 Breaktime - have a healthy snack and play.

Reading

We will be re-starting phonics and guided reading on Monday. Today, please spend time looking at our class information text which is on our webpage. Write down 5 interesting facts that you found out by looking at the other information texts.

 Revision on adding money and making amounts.

If you are feeling more confident choose mixed coins. Depending on how you are feeling, choose what amount you want to go up to)
