Tuesday 12th May
Great start on challenge 6 yesterday!
Only two more days to do the Chiddingstone Challenge. So go out and run 1km or 2km and don't forget to send me a photo and let me know how it was.
L.O. I know how to convert fractions to decimals.
SC1. I know common fractions as decimals
SC2. I can convert a fraction to have a denominator of 10,100 or 1000 to convert it to a decimal.
Watch the video and then have a go at the questions attached. Don't forget to self mark your work against the success criteria to see how you did.
L.O. To write instructions within a diary entry
SC1. I can use organisation structures such as subtitles, bullet points and numbers to make my instructions clear.
SC2. I can write in chronological order using adverbs of time
SC3. I can use technical language that is specific to the task
We are going right back to basics with SPAG this week as I have noticed quite a few of you making this silly mistake. Their, there and they're.
Have a go at the sheet first, then the game on wordwall and then the spelling test on spellodrome. Raffle tickets for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as normal.
L.O. To know the anatomy of a plant/flower and their functions
SC1. I can name the anatomy of a plant/flower
SC2. I can tell you each parts function
Firstly, I have to apologise, this is my worst teaching video yet! Some things are just easier done in real life.
Try and have a go yourself at either dissecting a flower and labelling it yourself or using the worksheet attached. Have a look at the BBC website, who did a much better job than me at explaining it!
I don't know about you, but I am loving this book!
