Break/Snack Time

LO: To write a speech

SC1: I can use my plan to write a speech

SC2: I can punctuate sentences correctly

SC3: I can rehearse my speech out loud.

Here is today’s tutorial. I have attached my example speech as well for you to refer to- not to copy! Keep your speech fairly short- three succinct paragraphs and a summary conclusion at the end. When you have finished writing, read it out loud to yourself a few times- think about where to pause, and how to change the tone of your voice. Try timing yourself to make sure your speech isn’t too long. If it is, can you edit it in some way?

Use this time to work on your expert challenge. What was it that you wanted to become an expert in? How can you improve your skills and knowledge today?

Story Time – if you wish to read along to the story please open the attachment below.
